Tunnel Strolls

Maxi dress (Urban Outfitters), denim jacket (vintage Guess via mom's hand-me down), hat (random boutique in Cali), rings (H&M)

In the midst of my first round of exams, I was contemplating whether I should postpone this week's post due to my sleepless nights and aberrant hours dedicated to slaving over business books. Then I thought it wouldn't be fair to my avid followers out there (assuming I have a few) to wait for another week when I have even more exciting posts and projects coming up. So if you're still keeping up with Little Mai Sunshine, thanks again!

Anyways, talk about Throwback Thursday if you couldn't already tell from my tan skin in these pictures. This was from my trip to Cali at the end of the summer and I thought I would bring it back since the weather on the East Coast has been reminiscent of the summer days lately. I found this beautiful maxi dress in the sale section (surprise, surprise) of Urban Outfitters out here. I was a little hesitant because the dress was really heavy at the bottom and made my boobs look nonexistent but I just loved the pattern and cut at the top too much to let it go. Plus, it was $10, so I'm sure I could make it work. And I did, because I knew the denim jacket would balance the top out and add some color since the dress kind of matched my summer tan skin. I paired it with this must-have summer hat since it goes with any outfit during this season. (Unfortunately, summer's already passed so we'll wait 'til next year). The look overall is something typical of my summer wardrobe because it's perfect for those breezy summer nights when I'm too lazy to wear anything but maxis.

And if you haven't already checked it out, I've created a Facebook page for Little Mai Sunshine, here. Go and like and support and all that jazz :)

Mai Sunshine

Style Tip: When maxi dresses tend to be heavy at the bottom in regards to layers or extra flow, be sure to pair enough accessories on top to balance out the look without making you look like a bowling pin.
