Artfully Tasteful

I'm so glad I finally got to cross off "Visit the Metropolitan Museum" from my summer bucketlist. It's about time! And perfect timing too because they had the Punk to Couture Exhibition this summer. Definitely a must-see for any fashion-lover and without giving much away, it beautifully showcases iconic pieces from top designers that reflect the punk rock era (out of ordinary items!). Everything from the displays to the lighting to the outfits, I highly recommend this as a summer pastime. But not only that, the museum is so beautiful as well. I loved every bit of it with the artwork from different eras and showrooms and architecture, I can never get sick of this museum. I can't wait to plan my next visit!
So I figured I'd try to fit in with the rest of the artwork and wear my high-low galaxy skirt. I mean it kind of looks like a painting, right? Alright, maybe not but close enough. But I really love the design on this skirt and thought it would fit in nicely on my museum outing. It was pretty hot that day so I wanted to keep my layers to a minimum and stick to a simple graphic muscle tee made by my sister and I. And any city day requires tons of walking so comfy sandals were a must!
For all you museum-goers like me, be sure to check out the Met!

Peace,
Mai Sunshine

Style tip: Pairing a graphic tee to a skirt is the perfect way to dress the look down without looking too girly
