I've been searching for a nice (and cheap) kimono ever since it was the new trend of the summer and I finally found one at this cute boutique by my dad's house in California. I honestly love the loose flow and airy feel from the light material and the bohemian vibe from the tribal pattern and fall color. But throwing it over a plain tee would be too simple so I paired it with this cute cutout crop top from the same store. The tan-ish color matched the bohemian look I was going for and the unique cut of the shirt added dimension to the outfit. The acid wash high-waisted shorts also gave the outfit some texture to complete the look. But because the colors were pretty solid, I accessorized with florals in my statement necklace and headband. I had a lot of fun playing around with this outfit only because the focus was really on the small details, everything from the headband to the boot buckles, the look was pulled together nicely.

And shout outs to my new and talented friend, Drew Dizon for the amazing photos! It was my first time working with him and he really new how to capture me in between my awkward moments. Thanks, Drew! :)

Happy autumn,
Mai Sunshine

Style Tip: With simple pieces like the ones here, it's easy to look really plain and predictable but adding plenty of accessories plays up the outfit more so don't be afraid to experiment
