It's 6:50pm east coast time and here I am taking the train home from a long day at work in the hustle and bustle city of America famously known as New York. I sit in the window seat (I always take the window seat) and mindlessly gaze out at the New Jersey landscape of open grass fields, abandoned car lots, and broken buildings. A faint reflection of my spaced out expression lays against the dirty window. Not exactly the wanderlust scenery one hopes to escape to on a mundane Monday but a frequent commuter can't exactly complain at the end of a tiring day. Yet, the routinely endeavor is still quite therapeutic amongst the crowded surroundings of rush hour traffic, inharmonious hum of the train, and robotic tone of the destination announcer. In fact, it couldn't be easier to drown out the rest of the world. All I need is that window seat and 

The Theory of Everything

's original soundtrack and I've created the cliche movie scene from a foreign indie film. 

With such a hectic schedule, I take enjoyment in little pleasures like these. Even a peaceful stroll down the cobblestone streets of Hoboken that leads me to a vibrantly painted wall gets me all soft and giddy inside. Moments I steal for myself (and for my photographer) and call my own even if only for a brief time. A free therapy session slash meditation zone to void my mind of petty errands and ongoing to-do lists while appreciating the world beyond mine. A simple reminder that life is bigger than the limited scope of my personal sphere and everyday worries are minute in comparison.
