NYFW | Day One

See U Soon

coat, vest, & shorts // Ivanka Trump boots // Aldo necklace

I've officially made it through my first day of NYFW yesterday! And I must admit, it was surprisingly satisfying despite the confusing turn of events. For one, it was an unbearable 20 degrees with piercing cold wind chills, which only made things worse as I was in the midst of recovering from a minor cold. I was also wearing shorts and regretfully, not enough layers to combat the freezing weather. But no matter, because the girls (Lynn of

Neckbreakin' Style

and Tina of

Jean Rex

) and I Uber'ed it the entire night and managed to make the night worthwhile despite the random circumstances. From front row seats at Marcel Ostertag's show to getting serious Goldmember/70s feels at the Top of the Standard, and diner moments in between, I couldn't have asked for a better first day of NYFW with the best squad around.

This year, I'm taking NYFW a little differently on the blog. In between photoshoots, fashion shows, and events/after parties, I'm taking you along my NYFW journey and posting bits of the experiences as I go through them. I want to share my personal perspective via Instagram--the outfits, the people, the street style, the mania--while posting outfits more frequently on the blog, as if I was taking you by the hand and dragging you with me. Because as much as it is a significance to me to be a part of the NYFW action, it means equally as much to share these important moments with my friends. This is my personal photo diary of NYFW, from first day to last, through my eyes to yours. Enjoy!
